"The play 'A Hero of Our Time' is a philosophical clown show. Clowning, eccentricity, musical and jester elements are combined in the performance in all its elements: in the existence of the actors, in the external action, in a completely unexpected reading of the classic text. Lermontov's novel does not just play with new colours, but sparkles with sharp satire, irrepressible humour and irony overturning the usual meanings. The play was staged together with the director Nikolai Ringburg.
